I am available to present workshops in person or via Zoom on a variety of topics.  If you don’t see one listed here that you are hoping for, be in touch. I love creating new presentations!  I work sliding scale. Let’s come up with a fee that works for your group or organization.

Join end-of-life doula Lindsey Warren for “Reclaiming Traditions" on September 20th from 1:30-5:30pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Burlington, VT.

This 4-hour in-person workshop is an overview of green burial, home funeral and shrouding options. Explore at-home death care as an active form of grief processing. Begin to develop your own green burial and end of life care plans based on your values and priorities. Gain information to make fully informed decisions and share reclaimed skills with your community. This workshop is for anyone curious about expanding their knowledge base.

  • Gathering welcome and introductions

  • Circle Song and Meditation

  • Slide Presentation exploring different types of green burial options including important things to know about home burial.

  • Break

  • Slide Presentation continues: Learn how to care for family and friends at home with after death body care tips and techniques. 

  • Break

  • Explore the history of shrouding through arts, music and pictures. Then examine shrouding from a modern perspective as a part of a green burial plan. Learn tips and techniques for how to shroud your loved ones at home.

  • Q&A

  • Hands-on practice portion: body care, transfers, rolls, different shrouding styles, ritual, community.

Workshops Available for Booking

This hour long contemplative workshop examines the meaning of compassion from various angles and invites attendees to discuss. The workshop includes music and meditation to invite the participant to transition from processing with the mind to perceiving with the heart.

In this hour long workshop participants explore how to cope, grow and be strengthened from the inevitable loss and grief we encounter in life. 

This workshop + demo is an introduction to a variety holistic modalities that doula Lindsey Warren uses with her self-care

clients as well as end of life clients. Learn about how she uses her frame drum, tuning forks, singing bowl and other modalities to create calm relaxation and relieve pain and anxiety. Explore your options in this experiential workshop and come away with the beginnings of your own self-care plan.
